The Final Countdown Has Begun

Okay, since Shane keeps forgetting to bring the camera home from the office you'll have to use your imagination. Okay imagine the carseat, a pink Under Armour backpack and a pile of baby blankets sitting by the door. (Hopefully soon I'll be able to add the CAMERA to the pile of stuff sitting there too) There'a my picture. Okay now here's my post:

I went to the Dr. yesterday. I am 37 weeks and am already dialated to a 2. My Dr. was a little surprised, but sent me home anyway. He said that if he doesn't see me before next Friday the 8th he'll enduce me. So if not sooner she'll have a birthdate of 02-08-08. We'll keep everyone posted. Last night we about headed back down to Logan cuz I had contractions every 10 minutes for about 3 hours. Luckily after a hotbath and some R&R they went away. So I'm just going to take it easy for the next week and gradually get all of the loose ends tied up that i haven't finished. My mom is coming over today to help me get the bassinet set up and tidy things up a bit. She's the best!! Don't know what I'd do without her.

Pres. Hinckley We Will Miss You

Our family has been touched by this man in so many ways it's hard to comprehend. He was sustained as prophet 2 days after Shane and I were married. He's provided us with so much guidance with our marriage, our family, our business ets. the list goes on and on. We are saddened from his death. We were starting to think that he was invinsible. Which in a way he is, because his great work and mission will continue. His body simply needed a rest. We rejoice that he is reunited with the love of his life and his family. We are so fortunate to know that families truly are forever. What an example of enduring to the end! At 97 years old he didn't skip a beat. We Thank Thee Oh God For This Prophet that has led us and our family.

Incase you haven't noticed the thought of the week from Pres. David O. McKay (left). I want everyone to know that I'm the luckiest girl (can't say woman, it sounds too old)in the world. I've got the best catch in the sea. Not many people can honestly say that they know that their spouse loves them. I know that Shane loves me!! He's so great at helping me around the house, with the kids, he listens to my whines and cries. We have definately had our moments that aren't pleasant to share, but we've worked through them together somehow. It's hard to believe that we've been married for almost 13 years. Heavenly Father has blessed us in so many ways, it's like the popular saying goes. "All Because Two People Fell In Love"! I love you Shane!

New Background For Our Blog

Okay, so winter is quite depressing and the black back drop didn't seem to add much cheerfulness. So lighthouses are encouraging and hopeful so I hope it makes our family blog a little bit more cheery. Plus this time of year is a good time to make changes. We are currently working on getting our New Years Resolutions figured out. As soon as I get them I will post them. Happy New Year to all of you (if any of you guys really read our blog). We wish you guys the best!!

Christmas

We had an amazing Christmas as usual. We were so blessed in the 2007 year. Every Christmas Eve we let our kids open up their gifts from their grandparents. First they opened up gifts from Papa and Nana. They recieved the jammies that they are wearing in the pictures. The girls got "princess" jammies and slippers and Peyton got Broncos jammies and sneaker slippers. They love getting new jammies on Christmas Eve so they have something new to "help" them sleep better. Shane's parents gave them each a roll of quarters that had each of the state quarters that they had collected and a book to put them in. It must have been quite the job to do this for each of their 9 grandkids. Thanks to everyone for their gifts. We've enjoyed each one. (Dirk, if you're reading this Shane is more grateful for yours I think than all others).

T'is The Season

Yes are alive and doing well here on Webster St. If you've checked lately to find no change I apologize. We've been so busy lately with holidays it's amazing how fast the time flies. We've just about finished our shopping and even have a lot of it wrapped. It's the most I've ever finished before Christmas ever!!!
Shane's been busy trying to get geared up for Christmas sales at the store. I've been trying to get the shopping, wrapping, baking etc. done. My tummy has all of a sudden shot out of nowhere. I've even been getting called Mrs. Clause. We're down to the home stretch though with about 9 weeks left. (the longest part) My back is starting to ache a bit, but I'm doing better than I thought I'd be with a herniated disc. Thanks mom and dad for your prayers. Thanks to Shane for holding the priesthood to give me blessings whenever I ask.
Peyton has been busy at school with his studies and practicing for his schools Christmas program. He also started voice lessons about a month ago.
Lydia is doing great in preschool. She's turning out to be a good little reader. She's still doing dance and is loving it.
We are happy to report that Elsie is now potty trained!!!!! Yes!! A 3 month break of buying diapers!! She's excited that she is such a big girl now.

Family Traditions

Every year my mom makes egg dip for our holiday get togethers. It was a recipe that my Grandma Stucki made during the holidays. My mom has kept with the tradition since she passed away almost 40 years ago. We have it at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
